SEDR [Supplementary Experimental Data Record] is an experimental community radio platform based in Chicago. Founded during the heat of the pandemic in 2020, SEDR is an online database collecting and archiving human curation through the lens of sound and conversation.
All our broadcasts are free and open to the world. This will never change. We hope SEDR will be an accurate reflection of these particular moments in time and space.
Our broadcast schedule is determined by our residents/guests, who have complete freedom in the lengths, frequency, time, and date of their programs. SEDR does not operate as a 24/7/365 broadcast and we do not restrict artists to any format. We believe in thoughtful and intentional posting, allowing the artist the freedom to work at their own pace. SEDR is a platform and a living space hoping to shed light on under-represented humans and artists during a time where content is being delivered at an alarming rate. Take a step back, breathe, and welcome to SEDR.SPACE
SEDR is 100% volunteer based and operates through a team of friends, collaborators, and contributors.
